This program is developed in the Latin America Country of Ecuador in the Province of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas. named for the indigenous group the Tsachilas also known as the coloured ones by the Mestizos or mixed raced people because one of the traditions for the Tsachilas men is to dye their hair red with seeds called achiote. because. The city of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas is very close to the capital of Ecuador Quito, it is approximately three hours and the community is within an hour of the city of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas.
The Tsachila nationality is one of thirteen nationalities that exist in Ecuador. The goal of this project is to be able to share and learn the national culture, customs, traditions, language, ceremonies and medicinal natural plants with some of the members of the community. The Tsachilas are one of the most famous indigenous groups inside Ecuador and renowned for their knowledge of plants, ancestral knowledge and shamanism which makes this culture a real hidden treasure and you can discover what this nationality has to offer to the world with its purity and nobility. They live in a mild climate breathing fresh air, with many different trees, plants and animals. You will enjoy a delicious meal that is 100% natural, listening to the birds and enjoying the tranquility of the place which gives you time for reflection, most importantly directly helping people in this Tsachila community to improve their quality of life and the environment that really need it.
