Sangay Trek

5 to 6 Day-tour

Do you what to live an incredible adventure through the gorgeous Andean highlands -climb a living mountain!

The tour into the Sangay national park is a trek in a beautiful wilderness area with excellent opportunities for trekking and climbing. The Nationalpark stretches from the eastern cordillera of the Andes to the jungle and will enchant you with a fantastic variety of different landscapes and climate zones. Subtropical rainforest merges into cloud forest, followed by Andean grasslands and finally ending in the everlasting ice of the glaciers of the 5000meters high mountains.
The Sangay Volcano (5230m) is one of the most active volcanoes of South America. The long hike to the foot of the volcano is quite demanding and requires a good physical fitness and an adventure spirit. The trekker or climber has to negociate with difficult terrain sometimes but the reward of hiking through this amazing wilderness is unique and unforgettable.
