Overview

Quito´s Historic center is a UNESCO world heritage site and offers a whole range of interesting buildings and places that reflect the Ecuadorian People, Environment and beliefs. We were the 1st to offer free walking tours in Quito and the rest followed.  On our free walking tour you will experience past & present. Culture, history, food and famous places in the old tour and learn about each location from a local English speaking guide. This is a really good way to get a feel for the place especially if you have just arrived.

ITINERARY
  • 10.10 Meet at CarpeDM Office have the introduction
  • 10.30 Start heading in to the old town
  • 10.40 Basilica de voto nacional
  • 11.00 Camilo Egas museum.(not open on Mondays)
  • 11:30 plaza del Benalcazar
  • 12:00 Plaza Grande
  • 12:30 Compania de Jesus
  • 13:00 La ronda
  • 13:30 either to the Central market for lunch or back to the Carpedm office
  • Please be aware this is a sample itinerary and each guide has their own route which may or may not visit these locations

COSTS
  •  The tour is tip based to the guide usually for a city tour you would be paying $40 to $50 usd per person so we suggest a 10% tip.
